March 2017 Sitting Schedule

Sangha members and friends,

Following is our Sitting Schedule for March :
PLEASE NOTE : Beginning this month we will switch to 30 minute Sitting periods.
Sun 03/05 : Yoga in Preparation for Sitting meets at 6:00 PM in Founders Hall.
Normal Sitting in Emerson Hall will be held at 7:00 PM.  Tonight Ken and Diana Delucca will begin a series of four consecutive weekly readings from Finding Stability in Turbulence : Meditating When Things Get Tough by Michael Stone.

Sun 03/12:  Yoga In Preparation for Sitting meets at 6:00 PM in Founders Hall.
Normal Sitting in Emerson Hall will be held at 7:00 PM.
Sun 03/19:  Text Study meets at 5:30 PM in Emerson Hall.  We will continue discussing Zen: The Authentic Gate by Koun Yamada.  The February reading assignment is Chapters 11 “Belief, Practice, Understanding, Realization, and Personalization”, 12 “Eight Great Tenets of Mahayana Buddhism”, and 13 “On Private Interview”.  Sangetsu Sensei will facilitate our conversation.
Normal Sitting in Emerson Hall will be held at 7:00 PM.
Sun 03/26 :  A Sangha Business meeting will be held in Emerson Hall at 6:00 PM.  This meeting is open to everyone who attends Sitting and we hope to gain feedback from people with a range of practice, and Red Rose Sangha, experience.  Tonight we will be discussing a revised mission statement as a guide for future direction and governance of the Sangha.
Normal Sitting in Emerson Hall will be held at 7:00 PM.
